Here, I’ll share seven practical tips to help you slow down acrylic paint drying time, allowing you to master the flow and elevate your art.

1. Work in Small Sections

Instead of tackling your entire canvas, work in small sections. By focusing on one area at a time, you can apply paint more evenly, maintaining control over blending. This approach also helps ensure smooth transitions before the paint starts to dry.

2. Keep a Spray Bottle Handy

A simple spray bottle filled with water is a game-changer when working with acrylics. Regularly spritzing your canvas or palette keeps the paint moist and workable, giving you more time to achieve desirable effects. Moisture control is essential for extending acrylic drying time.

3. Use a Palette Knife
